I'm Christina, the Director of Hungry Hamish and Hamish's mother. I was born and breed in the Wairarapa, a farm girl at heart. Palmerston North has now been our home for 21 years.
I'm a trained primary school teacher and manage OSCAR programmes in the Manawatu/Rangitikei region.
We started thinking about having a business for Hamish when a teacher said.. 'our kids ( special needs) don't get jobs'. That comment didn't sync with Hamish's determination to be employed, or mine. Now 17 years later here we are!
Outside of my businesses, I like keeping myself busy with crafting, photography and walking. Walking really helps me to refocus and balance my physical and emotional well-being.
Having owned my own businesses for 21 years, I like the challenge of bringing a bakery into the fold, especially as it has helped to fulfil my son's dream of having his own baking business.
Amongst all of our products, my favourite is our paleo style bite-size double chocolate cookie. I love to have a couple with my coffee.
